Hydabrek's Hyacinth Bucket, pronounced Bouquet, is out of Caillee, CDN/AM Ch. Mystykalsky's Cailleach Bheur, and by Alphy, CDN/AM Ch. A Maiden Effort's Heartbreaker. She is our first bred-by Havanese. She had an amazing puppy career, that included being ranked the 7th top Havanese in Canada for 2008, BPIS(s), BPIG(s), and many group placements. She had a bright and promising show and performance career ahead of her.
Unfortunately, she died just a few days short of 15 months, November 11, 2008 under tragic circumstances
Original Introduction:
She was named after the main character from a British TV comedy “Keeping up the Appearances”. The main character, Mrs Hyacinth Bucket, whom always insists that her last named be pronounced ‘Bouquet’, is an housewife who is extremely patriotic; obsessed with wealth; possessed by always being in ‘the right circles’; and pretending that she is a member of the aristocracy. Nothing she ever does is simple, her complex plans becoming even more complex when her family visits her: sister Daisy and brother-in-law Onslow; sister Rose; her other sister Violet, the 'one with the Mercedes, sauna, and room for a pony'.
My Hyacinth is nothing like the TV character Mrs Hyacinth Bucket but you can see how a character like her could be very funny. My Hyacinth is however very loveable and adores to meet new people, more like Mrs Bucket's sister Daisy who is married to Onslow: sweet and adorable.
